This story reads
just like a classic fairy tale. There is a poor person who has
misfortune befall him at every turn. Until finally he gets a stroke
of luck. In this story it is a poor man who just lost his wife. He
goes around asking everyone to help him bury his wife but no one will
help him, not even the pope. He goes out to dig the grave himself and
stumbles on a treasure chest. After that everyone becomes his friend.
The crooked pope conspires to steal for himself and kills a goat to
wear its skin. However, after stealing it from the poor man he is
unable to remove the skin from himself because God cursed him.
